Chicken Stick Recipe
Chicken stick recipe is quick and a tasty treat for your taste buds. You may have tried the roast of chicken in many different ways, why not try the chicken on stick or skewers? Believe me, my daughter wants this in her every lunch box. The small stick is for my son and the bigger for my daughter’s lunch box 🙂 You can also name it stick chicken.
Ingredients:
- 2 chicken breasts (cut into cubes)
- 1tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Black pepper (you can use paprika or green ground green chili as well)
- 1 tsp Lemon or lime juice
- Pinch of fennel seed powder (optional)
- Pinch of Black seeds ( optional)
- Ajwain (bishop’s weed seed) (optional)
- Salt according to taste
- 2 tbsp. Ginger and Garlic paste
- ½ tsp Whole spice powder
- 250 grams Breadcrumbs for coating
- 2 medium Eggs ( beat them in a bowl)
- 1-cup all-purpose flour
- Coriander or mint leaves finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Sesame seed
- Oil to fry
- Skewers or toothpicks
Directions:
- Take three medium-size bowls.
- Add eggs in one bowl beat and set aside
- In other bowl add breadcrumbs and set aside
- In the third bowl add all-purpose flour and add salt and black pepper, sesame seeds, ajwain, mix well.
- Take a large bowl add a chicken cube, sprinkle salt and black pepper and mix well.
- Now add ginger garlic paste and with your hands, mix chicken with paste well and try to have maximum coating by mixing with hand.
- Now add coriander leaves and powder, black pepper, whole spice powder, lemon juice and mix again.
- Now leave the chicken in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Take out of the fridge and start coating the chicken cubes, one by one in flour then egg then bread crumbs and then thread each chicken cube with your hands into skewers or the toothpicks that are available.
- Get all the chicken sticks ready then heat up oil in a pan and fry until golden brown. You can also bake these if you do not like to fry the chicken sticks.
- Your delicious quick chicken sticks are ready.
Note:
While treading the chicken cubes on sticks you can also thread cubes on onions or tomatoes if you like.
