Chicken Cabbage Recipe Stir-Fry

I love to add vegetables to my food. You can check my stir-fry cabbage recipe. In this post, I will share with you Chicken Cabbage Recipe Stir-Fry with potatoes. This was the second time after Stir-fry vegetable recipe when my kids did not stop their hands and finished the whole bowl of Chicken Cabbage Recipe Stir-Fry. I hope you will like the recipe too. The best thing is, it is so easy and quick.
Ingredients Chicken Cabbage Recipe Stir-Fry
· 2 chicken breast (make halves, skinless, cut into strips)
· 1 large onion (sliced finely)
· 1 large potato (sliced thin)
· 2 tablespoon oil
· ½ head cabbage, (cut into strips)
· Salt and black pepper to taste
· allspice, cumin seeds, coriander powder, paprika (to taste)
· ½ teaspoon garlic ginger paste
Directions Chicken Cabbage Recipe Stir-Fry
1. Take a large pan over medium-high flame and heat up 3 cups of water. Once the water starts boiling, add strips of chicken, cabbage, and sliced potatoes and boil for 4-5 minutes until tender. Do not over boil, once done, drain and set aside to cool.
2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add onions and cook to caramelize. Once the onions are cooked and color turns golden brown take out half quantity out on a plate and in remaining onions add ginger and garlic paste and cook for a minute.
3. Add sliced tomato and cook by stirring occasionally until everything is cooked well.
4. Sprinkle salt, black pepper and if you like any spice of your choice, like allspice, cumin seeds, coriander powder, paprika and cook for a couple of minutes until you have a nice aroma of all spices.
5. Now add chicken strips, cabbage potatoes
, and stir-fry, stirring constantly until done.
6. Dish out and sprinkle some coriander leaves or spring onions and the caramelized onion that you took out.
Notes
· You can add green, yellow, red bell pepper or carrots, avocado or squash to stir-fry for color.
· Broccoli can also be used or Cauliflower.
· You can also dissolve one teaspoon of cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of water and add in the stir-fry and cook for a couple of minutes until the mixture gets thick and coats the cabbage, chicken, and potato.
· You are free to add any roasted nuts as topping almonds, walnuts, cashew etc.
· One teaspoon of sugar and soya sauce can also enhance the flavor.
